You can discuss your wants and needs with Matt in our estimating department.
There are a wide range of different options available dependant on the style of your house and pitch of your roof, or whether you want slates, tiles, flat roofing or just some maintenance carried out.
There is a wide variety of tiles in lots of different colours, styles and suitability for the pitch of your roof, garage, extension or whatever area you would like tiling. Tiles are generally made of clay or concrete (you can get wooden ones too, Shingles) If you would like a slate roof instead of a tiled roof our you would like to re-slate your existing slate, you can have natural slates or Fibre cement slate. It is a case of personal preference and suitability when picking a new slate or tile to cover your home so why not let Crown Roofing help you with achieving a top-quality job with top quality materials.
We can provide samples and in some cases are able to show you roofs we have completed so you get to see the finished project.
We have our own Lead working team with many years’ experience. Lead work is invaluable as weather protection on your home. It has many applications, for example, on valleys, dormer tops and cheeks, canopies, gutters or flashings, a flat or pitched roof or at abutments between walls and roof.
Lead can also be used for decorative objects and in comparison,
to synthetic alternatives, it is still one of the most durable materials and can last up to 100 years when fitted correctly. It can also contribute to sustainable construction due to its long service life and durability, plus it only requires little, if any maintenance.
Any sheet of material used to cover a flat or low-pitched roof is usually known as a membrane and the primary purpose of these membranes is to waterproof the roof area. Materials that cover flat roofs typically allow the water to run off from a slight inclination or camber into a gutter system.
Crown Roofing are registered with a company called FDT (Flat Deck Technology) so we are trained installers of Rhepanol Single Ply. Single ply is based on tough, flexible sheeting, sealed al the joints to create a watertight system. It is highly versatile, equally suited to both large and small areas and can be used around details, such as roof lanterns with a seam-welded finish. Samples can be supplied, please contact us through our Contact page. A written manufacturers guarantee is provided along with a Crown Roofing guarantee.
Another material that Crown Roofing uses on small flat roofs is built up felt roofing bonded in hot bitumen. Rolls of felt are laid onto a timber or concrete decking (sometimes we need to renew the decking), hot bitumen is applied between each layer of felt for a watertight seal and topped with either green mineral finish, solar reflective chippings or aluminium reflective paint. This material and way of roofing has been used for many years.
We can carry out whatever work you require. From a simple re-pointing job to taking the chimney down to below roof level and making good the roof to match in with the existing coverings. We can supply and fix cowls, chimney pots and bird deterrents.
These generally forgotten areas can help make your home look as good as new. You do not have to have a roof renewed or repaired to have these areas updated. We supply and fix a variety of rainwater systems and these come in different materials, the most popular being G.R.P - this is due to the cost and life span of the material.
Vertical Tile Hanging can make a property stand out. We have completed many projects complemented by vertical tile hanging . There are a variety of tiles that can be used to cover the vertical parts of your home. Crown Roofing have the knowledge and experience to advise and carry out the best job for you.
