It contributes to sustainable construction due to its long service life and minimal maintenance requirements.

Flat or low-pitched roofs are typically covered with a membrane to waterproof the area, allowing water to run off into a gutter system. Crown Roofing is registered and trained to install Flex-R fleece-backed EPDM. This tough, flexible sheeting is sealed at the joints to create a watertight system, suitable for both large and small areas, including around roof lanterns. Samples are available upon request, and we provide a written manufacturer’s guarantee along with our own Crown Roofing guarantee.

We are certified installers of LRS liquid roofing systems, suitable for both new roofs and refurbishing existing roofs and gutter systems. These versatile systems can be applied to a wide range of materials, including felt, lead, single ply, concrete, and asbestos sheeting.

For small flat roofs, we use built-up felt roofing bonded with hot bitumen. Felt rolls are laid onto timber or concrete decking, with hot bitumen applied between each layer for a watertight seal. This method, topped with green mineral finish, solar reflective chippings, or aluminum reflective paint, has been used for many years.

We handle all roofing repairs, from simple re-pointing to removing chimneys below roof level and making good the roof to match existing coverings. We also supply and fix cowls, chimney pots, and bird deterrents.
